Huge Nordic Food Trip Retrospective

I just completed a Nordic food tour. I managed to cover a total of 11 stars in 8 days. I had so many tasty things and amazing experiences.

A few of my favorite bites:

“takoyaki” at Jordnaer

Turbot fish at Jordnaer

Snacks at Alchemist, especially the “perfect omelet”

Potato purée amuse bouche at Marchal brunch

Cod dish at SK Mat & Människor

Wagyu “burger” starter at Maemo

Salt baked onion and white asparagus at Maemo

Turbot with apples and chives at Maemo

Not pictured:

The bread at Maemo

Mushroom chowanmusi at Sushi Sho

Mackerel hand roll at Sushi Sho

We had amazing hospitality everywhere we went. I’d say they generally matched to expectations for the star rating. Servers and sommeliers were knowledgeable and helpful in introducing the food and wines across the board. Tina at Jordnaer stood out as the most gracious person we dined with, truly a gem. Sushi Sho was such a vibe, good sound track, and fun environment and as a result was the experience that we’d be most likely to repeat or highly recommend to friends traveling to Stockholm.
