Quick question for freight brokers and dispatchers
How many calls does it take you to cover a single load?
I've heard anywhere from 15 to 60+, depending on the lane, the day, and how cooperative the load board is being.
That's before the check-ins. Before the shipper calls asking where the truck is. Before you're chasing a POD at 5:30pm.
I'm doing some research into where freight brokers actually lose the most time in their day.
If you had to name the single biggest time drain in your daily operation, what would it be?
Carrier calls? Data entry? Chasing payments? Communication during transit? Something else entirely?
