What should I upgrade if I start hauling a camper long distances.

I have a 2017 f150 3.5 eco boost. It has a slight lift with bigger tires. Wife is wanting to get camper to travel far and wide. I’ve hauled things like cars and small equipment but never long distances. It pulls fine on these short trips but I’ve never hauled anything 3 plus hours through mountains and long stretches of road. I was wondering if I need to upgrade certain suspension parts like sway bars and shocks to make a smoother ride. Also read that I might need to regear my axles to make it easier on the transmission. What are y’all’s opinions and tips and tricks. For context the camper we are currently looking at is about 7000 pounds but may go bigger if the option comes up.
