I recently volunteered my seat from a Delta flight for a credit of $1000. The option I’m leaning towards the most is just the Delta airline points or one of the visa, mastercard, amex options. I am planning a trip to Spain in mid October with my boyfriend so I definitely want to use the $1000 towards the flights for this trip. We will most likely book tickets around August. I know the visa, mastercard, amex gift cards expires within 6 months and the Delta airline credit expires in 87 days. I did see a post where someone redeemed their credit and venmoed their friend, and their friend venmoed the money back so this person made it into cash. I guess I’m just nervous if Delta will honor this credit since this is the first time I’ve had an opportunity like this.
