We are in southern california, near the seqouia national forest and my boyfriend spotted this lizard earlier today. He said the body and legs were blue tongued skink adjacent, it had a stubby tail and legs, and a wider body (he also compared it to a gila monster but the spots were yellow instead of orange and it was about 5-6 inches.) We haven't been able to find any accurate identification, so we are hoping someone on here could help?
