Hello, my name is Stacey. I am a single mom of two and also care for my mother. Due to recent government changes and processing delays, DACA renewals are taking longer than usual to be approved. I have been out of work since February while waiting for my work permit. I was able to have funds to carry us until May. When I estimated returning back to work. Although my permit has now been approved, I am unable to return to work until I receive the physical card, as required by my employer. At this time, I am requesting assistance to help cover basic living expenses for my family. Once my card arrives, I will be able to return to work immediately. Unfortunately, USCIS has informed me that I may not receive the card until the end of May.
The funds raised will help me cover rent, food, and basic expenses for my children, my mother, and myself while I wait for my work permit card to arrive.
