Ik it's a but pointless showing the pie w/o showing you the cut insides. But here's my honest to god first attempt at rough puff pastry, and galette des rois. Bonus tart made w leftover orange frangipane and puff pastry.
The rough puff pastry could've been better but they were properly flaky for a first try. (Could've used more salt)
The frangipane I loved, but it had this weird nutty? Flavor after I baked it in the galette. Still, my friends liked it (All that matters at the end of the day)
The tart was better in my tastes. It had none of the softness and the moisture of the galette, and it was overbaked. but it was sweet, flaky and crunchy.
One of my friends found the feve (Half an almond) and won the crown.
