Cancer and occupation

Hi I know Reddit can't answer this but I'm interested to know thoughts. I work in a laboratory environment similar to a vet tech exposure to anaesthetics radiation ect and there is a high incidence in my industry for the small sample size of cancer in people under 45 . I know the incidence in general population is high but wondered if anyone has seen patterns within their own industries? ( I myself have just finished cancer treatment, maybe need a career change)

Did anyone have vocal cord injections?

My voice has been very weak since a couple of months after surgery. Turns out the tumour and then the post op swelling was helping my vocal cords push together. Now all that's gone they don't meet so I need an injection to bulk up the weak paralysed one. Has anyone had this, did it help their voice and swallow, what was the injection like I know some places do it under local anaesthetic.

I had my second injection today ready for RAI tomorrow, I'm glad the low iodine diet is nearly done , but I will try and maintain the healthy eating less chocolate going forward as I feel much better.

Post was just to say I didn't expect the injections would be in my bum! One in each cheek ...was a fun surprise 😬

So I have to stay in hospital 2 nights after my RAI and I like to knit / crotchet. Is it a bad idea ,will I have to throw it away once I'm out? Could I wear rubber gloves. These questions are probably really stupid so thought would ask you guys first !
