what does being monopoly does to a bussiness ?

I approached a retail and wholesale shop that I knew , but as I investigated and tried getting a supplier partnership , they did't allow it . My reasons where correct the deal was apparent and the margin of the bussiness is higher and profitable for each . But guess what , the deal was rejected because the owner of the firm wanted monopoly . Like they don't want me to take the online side of their niche . although these they did propose a deal , like I will do supply for you IF you are willing to do it outside of my region and outside of online domain . but the thing is even if I get the online sales revenue , ther stocks of them will still circulate and more money will go to their pockets and like it can eventually make their bussiness grow higher . like they can increase prices and commitions and like can even ask for affiliate partnership . What do you think , is holding the monopoly the option or making the bussiness grow through online is the way , share your opinion ... Thank you .

"Just do a SIP" is the laziest financial advice on the internet — and it's keeping beginners stuck

Every time someone asks "how should I invest as a beginner?" the top comment is always:

"Just start a SIP in a Nifty 50 index fund bro"

Technically correct. But completely useless advice.

Because the next question is always: which fund exactly? How much? What about my emergency fund first? Should I do ELSS for tax? What about gold?

And those questions get ignored or met with "do your own research."

The result? People don't start at all. Or they start a random SIP in something their friend mentioned without understanding it.

As a developer getting into my finance journey , I thought of , what if I myself create a journey , a path for the people who stop at the steps away from investing and I made exactly that .

Finastack (finastack.vercel.app). You answer 5 specific questions — goal, timeline, risk tolerance, monthly amount, experience level — and get a proper portfolio breakdown. Not generic. Specific to your situation. It free check it , if it is useful for you , so is it for us , thank you for reading , hope your finance journey is fruitful . Thank you all !!!

Takes 2 minutes. Free. No account needed.

Roast me if you think "just do a SIP" is actually sufficient — genuinely curious whether people here found that advice helpful when they started.

Hey r/IndiaFinance, Just launched Fina in beta — built it because I was too scared to invest for 2 years. Didn't know what to buy. Didn't know how much was safe. Didn't know what to do when markets fell. The problem with Groww/Zerodha: They show you WHERE to buy. Nobody tells you WHAT to buy or HOW MUCH. What Fina does differently: → 5 questions → instant investment plan → Tracks portfolio automatically → AI tells you what to do next → Shows calm guidance when markets fall → Works with ₹500/month Built specifically for Indian students and young professionals who want to start investing but feel lost. Free to use. No KYC. No credit card. Try it here: [your link] Genuinely want harsh feedback: → What confused you? → What's missing? → Would you pay ₹149/month for this? Be brutal. That's the only way to make it better.

I built an AI-powered finance assistant at 17 — looking for honest feedback

Hey everyone,

I’ve been working on a project that started as a simple savings calculator, but it slowly turned into something bigger.

It’s now an AI-based finance assistant that:

  • analyzes income & expenses
  • suggests investment strategies based on risk
  • projects growth towards a ₹1 crore goal
  • and includes a chatbot for general financial guidance

I’m not trying to promote it — I genuinely want to know:

👉 Would something like this actually be useful to you?
👉 What feels unnecessary or missing?
👉 Does the idea even make sense long-term?

I’d really appreciate any honest feedback (even if it’s harsh).
