My son is in 7th grade band and will be going to 8th grade band in the fall. He tells me he wants to continue playing all the way till 12th grade. We currently rent his alto sax for $50/month. In the long run, I see it’s better to just buy an alto sax. Is the YAS-280 for $1265 a good buy? Any downside for buying versus renting?
