This isn't a flex, I promise. This post is more intended to balance out the "omg act 3 is insanely hard" narrative.

I'm not a natural at metroidvanias and typically they're not my go to genre. But I loved Hollow Knight and Silksong has improved on it in every way. My play style is to be a greedy tank, so Wander is my preferred crest due to speed and hit count. I didn't kill a single boss in Act 1 or 2 on my first go, notol to say I struggled on all of them but again I'm greedy. So I accept that I'll die, learn the pattern, die again, until eventually I master the boss attack patterns.

I was a bit worried about Act 3 due to all of the discourse about how hard it is, figured it would really punish my play style. I killed nearly every single Act 3 boss on my first attempt, the only exceptions were Tormented Trobbio (3 attempts), Karmalita (6 attempts) and Lost Lace (19 attempts). I was surprised at how easy Act 3 was in comparison to act 2. It's most probably because I had max lives and max silk, but it was nowhere near as hard as I expected it to be.

Don't get me wrong, Lost Lace was tough, really tough. But I wouldn't say she was that much harder than some other bosses I struggled on. Namely Savage Beast Fly (both variants), Conch Twins, First Sinner and my absolute nemesis The Unravelled. The Unravelled and its screwy hit boxes can go suck a bag of nails.

If you're reading this and you're having a hard time in Acg 2 like I did, and you've read all of the posts about Act 3 and how impossible it is. I'm here to tell you that your experience may well be entirely different!
