Light in Navajo territory
Hello, I’m not trying to tell a believable story because I know what happened, but I’m trying to identify something that happened.
I was driving across the US and I take Old US Highways when I get a little tired driving or I take side roads/back roads when I don’t want to deal with traffic.
This was the only time I experienced something weird and when I looked at my map afterwards I was in a Navajo reserve.
I started driving and almost hit a rabbit, but by all means it should’ve been hit, but I had the craziest feeling to not leave my car so I didn’t. I drove forward slowly and hit my brakes a little to see if I ran it over and of course nothing was there in the rear view.
Now I’d like to add that the entire time this old highway was very close to a main highway and there were NO houses or driveways or turn offs until the end of this stretch.
As I was driving, about midway down it, I saw a light of what looked like an old orange headlight coming behind me, it was bright but not overbearing, and it was singular, so I thought a motorcycle was behind me until I realized it was centered on the road and also a little too high up to be a motorcycle.
I drove a lot faster after noticing that but the light seemed to match the same rate it was catching up to my car, maybe started about 4 semis behind me, it was probably 3 cars lengths from me by the end of the road, when I sped up, it sped up, but kept catching up what felt like the same distance until I was going about 90 and it was still catching up, there was no sound out the window as my window was down when I first saw it.
After I made it to the end of the road and put on my brakes at a gas station sitting at the end, the light turned, went into the woods and appeared to have “cracked” lost light and disappeared.
I had heard that the Navajo reserve areas were strange but I didn’t know what this was, could someone tell me what I saw
