I think the V1 is gonna backfire
So, our Homie got the V1. I've been getting kind of an "a man meets his fate in the path he takes to avoid it" feeling for this whole debacle. It feels weird that nobody here in this sub seem to have posted a thread with this premise yet, no one that thinks this is gonna bite him in the ass, none that I've seen yet at least.
I think Holmes will, at first, think he got immortal. But then shit is gonna start to hit the fan really quick. Maybe he notices more white hairs, aging skin. Maybe he starts bleeding out of his ass. Another option is: The virus works on the normal V cells he already has, but slower. In one way or another, he's gonna become terminally ill.
Which will then, in turn, has him accelerate his plans. As he starts to collapse physically and mentally, his attempt at keeping the power he has will become erratic until he has to be "put down". Possibly while having dementia from the quick aging.
So Houselander will end up either dead or a husk of what he was, for example, so old or disabled that even with superpowers, his laser eyes might as well just be regular laser pointers for intents and purposes, for example.
Soldier Boy's laser will either end up being a red herring or will depower Starlight and Kimiko, perhaps others.
