Should i update my Avata, goggles 2 and motion 2?

Is it worth updating? Do i loose some features, or should i just update? I havent updated it since i got it 4-5 years ago.

I read a reddit post, warning others not to update because they implemented remote ID, and then required you to have your phone connected to the goggles.

I dont know if that applies to me or not, I live in Norway, if that matters.

My current versions are:

Goggles 2:

01.06.00.00

Motion 2 controller:

01.00.00.00
