My PCM told me this. My A1C has gone from 5.6 to 4.5 (no low side effects so I was told to keep doing what I’m doing) from essentially trying to eliminate as many carbs as I can from my diet. Then my doctor (who is diabetic himself) warned me that any cheat meals would most likely spike me higher than if I ate a diet of low-to-moderate carbs and to be careful of that. Seems completely anecdotal to me, which is fine, I’m just wondering if this is something others have personally noticed?
