Low Intermediate Racket Recommendations

I started playing Padel just over a month ago and have been playing consistently twice a week. I am generally pretty decent at racket sports (lots of badminton experience), and I believe I have picked up a good amount of fundamentals relatively quickly.

I am definitely not a beginner, but I wouldn't put myself anything above a low intermediate level. To avoid racking up on the rental fees, I bought a cheap Ionini racket (same as what my club offers for rent) and have been improving steadily with it. I am naturally a very defensive, tactical and position based player, although I am planning to work on my attacking shots and net play now that I'm at a half decent level with my safe defensive shots (bandeja, lob, forehand ground stroke etc.)

The plan is to carry on playing with the cheap racket until it fails on me or I feel like it is genuinely holding back my progression, and I'm wondering what type of racket I should be looking at when the time comes?

Any suggestions, advice or personal experience would be much appreciated!

These are the strategies and daily routines I use, which I believe are close to perfect in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.

If executed correctly, you should comfortably finish the Millionaire Challenge, earning roughly 30–50k bills per day while spending close to 2,000 energy daily.

Not to mention, it is extremely satisfying to min-max a game like Merge Boss.

Game Mechanics (MUST KNOW)

You should understand the following mechanics before attempting this strategy:

  • VIP Loop
  • Level 4/5 Generators
  • Goods Exchange Manipulation
  • Upgrading Stores
  • Milestone Level Skip
  • Browsing for Energy
  • Free Energy from Shop
  • Order Cancelling

If you don’t know any of the above strategies, feel free to comment or message me and I’ll do my best to explain them.

Energy Sources

  • Free Energy from Shop
  • Daily Energy for Bills/Gems/Coins
  • Daily Tasks
  • +5 Energy Claims from Browsing
  • Level Ups
  • Millionaire Challenge
  • Store Upgrades
  • Placing Orders for Energy (Order Cancelling)

Terminology

Low Level Order

Level 4/5/6 items.

VIP X4 Level 10 Item

A red VIP order for a Level 10 item, worth roughly 8–12k bills.

On Board

The item is ready to deliver.

Not on Board

The item is NOT ready to deliver.

Bubbles

When merging, you may receive a duplicate item inside a bubble that can be unlocked by browsing.

Bubble Upgrade

After unlocking a bubble, you may sometimes be offered an item upgrade by placing an order.

Milestone Level

The level where a new store is unlocked and another store becomes inactive.

Pre-Milestone Level

The level immediately before a Milestone Level.

Temporary Storage

After every Milestone Level, all items currently on the board are sent to Temporary Storage. This storage has unlimited space, and items can remain there forever.

Permanent Storage

The storage that can be expanded by purchasing additional slots.

Scissors

Purchased from the shop and used to cut items into two items one level lower.

Generator Strategy

For each active store I keep:

  • Three Level 5 generators
  • Two Level 4 generators

I use Generator Upgrade Cards and scissors to quickly obtain these for newly unlocked stores.

I also keep:

  • One Level 8 generator for the Phone/Computer store

This is specifically used for the Goods Exchange because it has no cooldown.

Important

All other generators are cut down to Level 3 and stored permanently in Temporary Storage.

Stockpiling Strategy

Once I have completed my daily routine and started spending excess energy, for each store I aim to stockpile:

  • Five Level 5 secondary items
  • Five Level 6 secondary items
  • Three Level 10 items

Priority Order

  1. Get three Level 10 items for every store
  2. Afterwards, stockpile secondary items for whichever store has the lowest reserves

Coin Usage Strategy

I only spend coins on scissors.

I never buy:

  • Generator parts
  • Shop items
  • Energy

The generator parts from levelling up, combined with upgrade cards from the Millionaire Challenge and scissors, are more than enough.

Bubble & Upgrade Strategy

I ALWAYS:

  • Browse bubbles
  • Use Order Cancelling to secure item upgrades

Stockpiling scissors allows me to cut down high-level secondary items to fulfil low-level orders whenever stock starts running low.

Important Notes

  • The routine starts with a VIP Loop from the previous day
  • Sometimes I get lucky and receive a VIP X4 Level 10 before the next VIP Loop. When this happens, I deliver it immediately and continue to the next step
  • Prioritise upgrading active stores to Level 3 as quickly as possible, then save for the next store upgrade
  • Only purchase additional storage slots once you are above 150k bills and all active stores are Level 3
  • Keep your board as clear as possible during the routine
  • Store generators and items whenever they are not actively needed
  • Only take items out to complete deliveries, then return them immediately afterwards

This allows you to use significantly more energy at any given time.

MOST IMPORTANT

REMEMBER TO SKIP PRE-MILESTONE AND MILESTONE LEVELS.

Daily Routine

I start the routine by obtaining as much energy as possible (excluding placing orders).

I have some automation that completes many of the daily tasks for me while I do other things.

I ALWAYS finish the routine using the Order Cancelling strategy.

Routine Order

  1. Refresh Level 10 item not on board
  2. Deliver VIP X4 Level 10 Item #1
  3. Deliver 10 low-level orders
  4. Deliver VIP X4 Level 10 Item #2
  5. Deliver 10 low-level orders
  6. Deliver VIP X4 Level 10 Item #3
  7. Deliver 10 low-level orders (next day VIP Loop setup)
  8. Keep 4 low-level orders on board (next day Goods Exchange setup)
  9. Keep 1 Level 10 item not on board (next day Goods Exchange setup)
  10. Complete Goods Exchange trades
  11. Spend all remaining energy on stockpiling

Final Thoughts

If done correctly, this routine allows you to:

  • Finish the Millionaire Challenge comfortably
  • Earn massive amounts of bills daily
  • Sustain extremely high energy usage and efficiency
  • Build item reserves for future loops

It takes some setup and optimisation, but once established, the routine becomes incredibly consistent and efficient.
