I’ve been swinging the Detech Desert Gold 3 for a few months now, running it with both the 13" Ultimate and the 9x9" SEF coils.

So far, I’m seriously impressed. The depth is world-class, and for an analog machine, the recovery speed is surprisingly snappy. It’s been a beast in the field, but since it's a bit of a niche "specialist" detector, I’d love to hear from others who have logged hours with it.

How are you finding the ground balancing in highly mineralized soil?

Do you have any specific "pro-tips" for fine-tuning the discrimination without losing the deep targets?

Which coil do you find yourself using as your daily?
