The reaction from the Maiden community this week has been very disheartening

For a group, or a family as we are often referred to, the reaction (mostly snobbery) around the new doc has been really disappointing. If anyone really thought we were getting some in depth analysis of the Maiden world that we haven’t seen before (‘or songwriting processes as I’ve seen a lot of people mention) in a sub 2 hour film then that’s ridiculous. For a fan, this film is a reflection or celebration of Iron Maiden that should be appreciated as such. To the people who are encouraging people to not ‘waste their time’ perhaps you should have a look at what Maiden means to you. For majority of fans, this film is enjoyable. I can understand some dissatisfaction with the way it was made as I too found some placement/pacing odd, but overall this is a great celebration of the band we all love. Sure thee was footage we have seen before, is that really the worst thing happening in the world currently?

To the people who are being overbearing with their negativity, perhaps you should be thankful that a bunch of blokes in their 70s are still giving their all to us as fans. They could have easily called it a day many years ago….
