(Help!) Scam or not?
Hi guys. I want some advice on whether this is a scam. I am fresh grad with no job experience. chats are attached. Thanks to anyone who spent their time reading this!!! Sorry for the long story but I tried my best at keeping it short!
So I clicked “quick apply” on a job on Linkedin. After a few hours, someone message me from that company (Advantage Partners) on Linkedin that someone else will contact me through Whatsapp.
Then I receive a message from another guy on Whatsapp. He claims he is from an agency (named Selvior) which I cannot find any info about it on the net. (pic 1)
He said there is a remote position that pays well. (pic 2) Its to do some data analysis for a shopify agency (named Charle).
Here are some suspicious points I caught:
First, the company (Advantage Partners) I originally applied, I found 2 pages on Linkedin, but the people are different. I applied to the one that seems fake (less employers, less company details. (pic 3)
Second, as I mentioned, I cannot find his agency at all. And this dude is replying even after working hour lol (he replied at 8pm)
Third, the salary sounds too good to be true. He claim that monthly income is 2600-3600USD (which feels weird as it is presented in a range), with no experience needed. And daily task takes 1-2 hours that are completable on phones.
Forth, the whole thing sounds very informal. No interview, no shit, just DM through whatsapp that he’ll call me and train me then I can work.
Is this a scam? Or are there actually such positions in the market? I searched on google and reddit for 2 hours and cannot find anything (good or bad) about these companies. He says he will train me tmr (probably through online meet) and i am scared to click any link that he sends.
