As someone who doesn’t have the deep history with EE that a lot of you here do (got in right around the Pandemic)…. can someone please explain Max’s constant antagonism towards his kids, especially Lauren? I mean I know this character is a constant scoundrel that much is clear. But they set up the return of this character as wanting to make amends, have teased a big Christmas reveal, and yet everything he’s doing seem to go against all the things he said he’s come back to do concerning family? Just very confused by it.

Update: Thanks to all for your contributions!!! This makes things a lot clearer. Doesn’t make me like Max much more but…..eh. Didn’t think that would be the case anyways 😜
