Claims adjusters at SCIF, what is it really like there? On this board it seems like paradise or hell. It’s making me wonder what the job is really like. Are they really full time telework for the future? Bonuses, for reals? People have said the job is hard but why? What is hard about it? Heavy phones? Too many deadlines?

I’m want to move up and i think I could handle a harder job for telework and better pay. I keep seeing this job get posted. Makes me think turnover is high. So what is it really like?

When I first started applying to the state last year it seemed like there were a lot more positions offered. Im in the Los Angeles area and I’m not seeing much for Program Technician or OT-Typing outside of a prison, hardly any Analyst. Am I wrong? Are there fewer postings this year? Is that part of why landing a state job is so competitive right now?
