Hi everyone,
I completed my masters in management science (10-month program) from one of the top schools in the US. My STEM expires in June and I wanted to get some recommendations on my next steps. I’m planning to complete another masters program(with CPT). Is it okay to enroll in an MBA program? I do understand that most/all the core courses would overlap but I do have options to choose Business Analytics/Data Science electives/concentrations in the MBA which would be different. Would this be perceived as course repetition and negatively affect future immigration processes like H1-B/PERM processing?
I work and live in California and most of the schools on the west coast only have an MBA program. If I decide to go for another degree like MSBA/Data Science, it would have to be on the east coast. Would that be concerning too and lead to RFEs in the future?
I’d really appreciate insights from anyone who has taken a similar path and successfully transitioned to H-1B after a second master’s.
(PS. Always planned to pursue an MBA from M7 after gaining some work experience, but am at a bit of a crossroads now)
Thank you so much for your help!
