A discussion on 2.0s and 3.0s and beyond.

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking recently and was wonder what your thoughts are. I noticed recently that the majority of figures I have on preorder are all 2.0s or redos or made by a different company, and the thought crossed my mind, when does it end? When is good enough good enough?

Every figure pictured above (save for Bruce Lee) has a newer version coming out, but there’s nothing inherently wrong with the figures I already have. When does the search for the newer or best end? At one point in time these were all more or less considered the peak.

I was just thinking about how maybe it’s time to stop (at least with “updates”) and just be happy with the things I have instead of chasing some impossible goal.

What do you guys think? What are your thoughts on the constant recycling of characters?
