First ever hydro grow

First time with hydro, took a clone from a plant that was a couple weeks into flower. Left it in a cup for a few days (wasnt planning on doing a DWC grow) and I noticed a little nub, so I bought an aerator and let the first couple roots grow. Then cut a couple holes in the bottom of a solo cups and put the clone in, surrounded with perlite for support. Then a little clear dog treat bucket for the nutes for the first couple weeks. (I obviously didn't know what I was doing, as the roots were exposed to light) but after about a week I realized the roots shouldn't be. I used mylar reflective film to wrap the diy container. After a couple weeks the roots were getting cramped so I moved it to a 2 gal home depot bucket where it stayed. I would make about 8L of feed a week, the reservoir took 4.25L, and then just topped it off during the week. And she ended up giving me just under 4oz. Was pretty good smoke too.

Edit: spelling.
