So my sister has been using Uber to commute home from college for a while now. Recently, she’s noticed something concerning a few times, the vehicle that arrives doesn’t match the one shown in the app, especially the number plate.

At first, she ignored it, but since it kept happening, she told me about it. I suggested that she report it to customer support, but since she didn’t have proof earlier, I asked her to take a photo if it happened again.

Today, it happened again, the app showed a scooty, but the driver arrived on a bike with a completely different number plate. She managed to take a photo this time.

I tried contacting customer support using the phone numbers provided in the app, but the automated voice assistant just redirects me back to the Help section on the app, which is how I got the number in the first place. So now I’m a bit confused about how to proceed.

There’s also an email option, should I try that, or could this delay be because of the public holiday?

If anyone has dealt with something similar or knows the right way to report this properly, please guide me.

I know this might seem like a small issue to some, but situations like these can feel really unsafe and unsettling, especially for girls commuting alone. So any help or advice would genuinely mean a lot.
