So I just got the Snowsky Echo (yay!)
And it's been interesting to say to the least I guess. I'm not sure who else has experienced this, though it seems these issues hasn't really been reported on the Echo. I'm on the latest version of firmware off of FiiO's website.
Here's the rather interesting list of issues I've encountered so far haha:
- So far, I've had random shutdowns when reloading my library... (which I'm going to assume is due to the low RAM? I'm not too sure atp) The screen just turns off and I wait a bit before realising it's off - this has happened at least 5-7 times
- I've randomly encountered an error 0x80070570 (basically windows says the folder is corrupt and cannot be deleted off the SD card on the ECHO) which has happened several times as well
- My SD card was randomly reformatted to RAW format which proceeded to be an absolute HEADACHE to reformat to FAT32?
- Said SD card refused to be formatted by windows because it was RAW
- Lyrics did not display - despite my attempts to upload .lrc files, they somehow ended up corrupted and when opened in notebook, was just a bunch of corrupt text...
When the device has worked, it's been amazing, I won't lie. It works as I expect it to - which is, as a music player (though lyrics has remained out of reach for some reason).
After the SD Card formatting saga, I'm now slowly uploading the 851 files I have in batch folders and checking each one to ensure they didn't somehow reformat my drive again.
I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced these issues but if there's some sort of fix that I haven't tried do let me know...
