Looking for Freelance VFX-artists in Cape Town!

We’re looking for experienced CGI / VFX artists to collaborate with us at CAPE.AMSTERDAM on a freelance, project-to-project basis.
We’re a creative agency based between Amsterdam and Cape Town, focused on AI driven and hybrid production across video, photography, animation, and VFX. We’re currently expanding our Cape Town network.
This is a remote position, but you must be based in or around Cape Town. We already have a team here, and work moves fast, so being in the same time zone and close to the team is important.
We’re looking for experienced artists who are comfortable working in real production environments with tight deadlines, fast feedback loops, and high standards.
Skills we’re looking for:
• High quality compositing
• Detail focused rotoscoping
• 2D / 3D integration
• General VFX and CGI workflows
• Strong experience with After Effects, Blender, Nuke, Cinema 4D, and the wider plugin ecosystem around them
• Strong eye for detail and finishing
• Clear communication in English
• Reliable under deadlines
Big plus if you already have experience with AI workflows and tools that help speed up production pipelines and improve team efficiency.
