Im making this post not to scare anyone, but so that people talk to their doctor when they have issues and not ignore it. I developed moderate gastroparesis with severe symptoms from zepbound. I haven’t been on zepbound in some time now. I was on 2.5 for almost all of it. I went from 180-130lb 5’4 27F and was happy. I had severe constipation the entire time and relied on miralax, magnesium citrate, and suppositories to go. I suffered with sulfur burps, nausea, and undigested food. One shot all of a sudden I developed severe vomiting and ended up in the er. After a month break I was cleared to try again, but it happened again. After that I stopped zepbound, but the vomiting never stopped. Recently I ended up at 102lb and had electrolyte imbalances and malnutrition. Im now TPN reliant as I can maybe consume 300 calories on a good day and almost no liquids. I got a picc line and hopefully will be discharged from the hospital soon. I don’t regret going on zep, but I wish my doctor told me more about the risks and I wish I did more research before starting. I can’t say I wouldn’t have tried it, but some earlier signs of gastrointestinal issues were dismissed as I didn’t fully know what I should be looking out for. Now I hope to gain at least 15lb and get my health back as much as I can (have multiple chronic illnesses).

The signs I ignored/didn’t think to mention to my doctor was the nausea, undigested food for over 24 hours, the stomach pain, extreme fullness, constant sulfur burps to the point of getting sick from the smell, zero appetite, dehydration, and constipation causing a bowel movement once a week.
