Victory Capital Roth IRA Expense Ratio

Victory Capital Roth IRA Expense Ratio

I currently have my Roth IRA invested with Victory Capital. This is one of the three legs of my retirement savings, with my Roth 401k and my “play money” being the other two. Each is of approximately equal value at this time.

After discussing it with my “wealth specialist” at Victory, my Roth IRA is invested 100% in UCEQX (https://investor.vcm.com/assets/victoryMF/factsheet-pdf/Victory%20Cornerstone%20Equity%20Fund%20FS.pdf), which is an actively managed fund. I am skeptical of actively managed funds and concerned about the expense ratio of 0.59%. Further, the wealth specialists are advertised as having a fiduciary duty, but I don’t know how binding that is.

I suspect I know this answer, but is it worth it to switch to another company to lower my expense ratio but lose the active management? Any recommendations on firms to use?
