I am sat in the urgent care typing this. I went to shop for a few things at Walmart this morning. As I was leaving there was a group of scalper sat waiting for the vendor to show up. As I walked by I said "Get a real job." The all started saying thing a bunch of stuff. You know typical scalper responses. As I walked out, I was followed by one of them. Getting all "tough guy" about it. He walked up to me. I had my hands full of bags and my keys and stuff. He shoved me as hard as he could and I hit the ground right on my lower back. I already have a bad back from my time in the military, but I must have really hit the pavement hard. Police was called, but he fled the scene before they came around. They took a statement and reviewed the cameras. Said I can press charges for assault.
I know I provoked them, but according to the officer I was just making clear and obvious observation. I can't believe these guys get violent over getting called out. I guess the truth hurts, just don't know if it hurts as much as my back does.
Be careful out there when calling out and shaming these scum. I could have been worse if he was armed and tried to hurt me. Just be careful out there, these guys have really fragile egos and can get violent.
Edit: I totally know that I went looking for trouble. I knew I would ruffle some feathers with my words and I still chose to say them. I not trying to tell a sob story. More so telling people to watch out when calling scalpers out.
