Someone rear ended me today. In front of cops. Cops said the damage already existed on my car.
I barely take out my dad's car for taking it to college. Maybe once a month. Otherwise i use public transport.
Today a dumb fuck rear ended me at 30 kmph or so. In front of cops. There were like 8 of them deployed for managing traffic.
And I thought great, I'll get some support/help in settling this matter. when we pulled to the side, and I saw my bumpers paint was cracked, my heart was somewhat relieved. I thought the rear hatch would've been gone and the bumper be broken too, but it wasn't. I eas kinda happy on the inside. And when I asked him to pay for atleast my insurance deductible dude said I didn't cause this damage. The cops sided by him?? I was pissed. I told them any single scratch or dent on my car-- I know when where and how exactly it happened. But no. They didn't care. Said that it's pre existing damage.
I called dad and asked him what to do. He said just leave it. Nothin much can be done. I left and later when I checked, that car had 21 pending tickets. Overspeeding, insurance expired, reckless driivng, everything.
Fuck my life man. Once a month i take the car out and got rear ended.
