Hey everyone, looking for some real talk from those who've sailed with Seaspan Ship Management or Eastern Pacific Shipping as a Third Officer.

Actually, I have an offer from both, and the difference is only $200 , would like to get some clarification:

  1. **Actual contract length** — I've seen 7 months (+/- 1 month) mentioned online for Seaspan. Is that accurate for 3/Os? Has anyone been kept beyond their contract end date, or is sign-off generally on time?

  2. ** Any Sign-off issues**

  3. **EPS comparison** — For those who've sailed with both or know people who have: how does Seaspan compare to EPS in terms of contract duration, sign-off reliability, and overall treatment of junior deck officers?

Background: I'm a 3/O FG (India CoC, ~5-6 years experience on large container vessels) evaluating options for my next contract. Any input — good or bad — is genuinely helpful. Thanks in advance!!!
