Should I buy this?

I’m looking at a stock, 24 MT-00 with 900 miles and he said he’d do $7800. No damages or issues, completely stock, clean title. The only thing is that the chain has some surface rust.m

Is it a good buy at 7800? I test road it and thought it was great mechanically and loved it.

Stock 24 base MT-09 or modded 22 MT-09 sp?

Currently these 2 bikes are my finalists and am contemplating either one

Looking at a stock 2024 mt-09, base, 1.2k miles for $8500. Updates in gen 4: updates rear shock, slightly sportier riding position, gen 3 smoother quick shifter, updated customizable rider modes and safety settings, updated 5” dash with phone connectivity. $8500 and he’s 2 hours away, said it was tipped over and almost no damage.

22 mt-09 sp for $9k. 3k miles. Perfectly modded in my eyes, low miles, and never dropped. But it’s 3 1/2 hours away.

The 2022 MT 09SP is what I would consider a perfect spec for me, has all of the mods that I would already do to it. But I do like the technology updates to the gen 4 and that is way closer to me. I don’t track, I’ll commute and cruise for up to about an hour, and I occasionally go to back roads and twisties to enjoy the bike. I don’t need the extra performance of the SP and I bet the GEN four base would be just fine for me.

Considering the differences of the two bikes, considering the differences what would you choose and why?

Which CP3 model would you choose?

I’m looking at buying a CP3 bike. I have test road a gen 3 MT-09 SP and a 2025 XSR 900.

I am looking at a 2025 XSR 900 for 8500, 2k miles, stock expect for a windshield and tail tidy.

2024 MT-09 for 8500, stock, 1200 miles, tipped over light scuffs on engine cover (plastic shroud not casing, no damage on tank).

Or a nicely modified 2022 MT-09 SP, 3k miles, never dropped. Air filter, exhuast, tuned, bar end mirrors, other light mods. $9300.

I like the updates the 2025 xsr and 24+ mt-09 came with (phone connectivity, bigger screen, better quickshifter and rear shock improvements, better seats). But I like the ohlins rear shock, better suspension, and looks and mods of that 22. And I also like the comfort ability of the MT bikes (more upright than the XSR).

Which would you choose and why?
