[Hiring] Field Operations Manager for an early startup (Metro Manila/South Luzon)
About Picklecam
We install camera systems at pickleball courts across the Philippines. We help players record their games and share their highlights through a tablet installed right at the court.
We operate across Metro Manila, South Luzon, and Pampanga, and we're expanding quickly. We're still a small team, and this role is central to how we scale.
The Role
As our Field Operations Manager, you own everything that happens after a deal is signed: from scheduling and coordinating camera installations to making sure every court we've deployed stays running smoothly.
You'll be managing a team of field technicians who handle the physical work. Your job is to make sure they're deployed well, installs happen on time, and nothing falls through the cracks. This is a hands-on, field-based role for someone who takes ownership and consistently delivers excellent results.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate installations. Work with facility managers and field technicians to schedule and execute new court deployments. Make sure the right people, equipment, and information are ready to ensure a smooth install.
- Manage field technicians. Set clear standards for how work gets done, assign jobs, and hold the team accountable for quality and timing.
- Build the processes. We don't have deployment checklists, escalation flows, or quality audits yet. You'll be tasked with creating the SOPs and constantly improving them.
- Shape how we expand. What you learn running operations in Luzon will directly inform how we build out deployments for the rest of the Philippines and eventually Southeast Asia.
What We're Looking For
- You take initiative. You don't wait to be told. You can figure things out and take action by yourself.
- You can manage multiple sites, contractors, and timelines efficiently.
- You communicate clearly and directly. You'll be working with clients, contractors, and the internal team.
- You're comfortable in situations where there's no clear answer and no one to ask.
- You're based in Luzon and willing to travel to sites regularly.
- Experience with CCTV, networking, AV systems, or any technical field installation work. You don't need to do the physical labor, but understanding it makes you much better at managing it.
- Experience coordinating contractors or managing a small team in a field operations context.
This Is Not a Corporate Job
There's no established process to slot into here, no large team to lean on, and no clear precedent for most of what you'll face. We are a lean team that can make quick decisions and act on them instantly.
If you want a well-defined role with clear structure from day one, this isn't it. If you want to be the person who builds that structure — and owns the results — then you might be a good fit.

We're building toward full national coverage and expansion into Southeast Asia. For the right person, the path from this role looks like:
- Regional Operations Manager – Philippines · manage multiple FOMs and own the full domestic ops pipeline.
- Regional Operations Manager – SEA · lead operations as we enter Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, and beyond.
- Chief Operating Officer - run all of Picklecam's operations globally.
