BCL for scratched cornea - severe nighttime dry eye sufferer

I'm aware that one of the standard remedies for protecting a scratched cornea until it's healed is a bandage contact lens. I'm curious though; how well would a BCL work for someone who has severe eye dryness while sleeping, to the point where waking needs to occur every 30-60 minutes to apply drops to avoid an erosion?

Is the BCL designed to stand up to that kind of dryness? Is there anybody who's similarly afflicted able to report your experience using them for corneal healing and attempting to sleep with them in?

Prokera discomfort experiences?

I recently tried a CAM360 amniotic membrane, but it pretty quickly dislodged and went off-center in my eye within a few hours. The pain became more and more intense until I finally decided to check it, noticed it was dislodged, and then removed it. I was left with a scratched cornea that's painful and affects my vision.

I have the option to try a Prokera amniotic membrane now, but as you can expect, I'm a little hesitant to jump right into it after my previous experience.

I'm hoping to hear peoples' experience relating to how the Prokera feels while it's in. I often see it mentioned that it's "very uncomfortable", but it's not clear to me whether that's referring to a basic kind of discomfort or whether that means it's very painful, similar to my CAM360 experience.

Also, my eyes get incredibly dry overnight, and I need to apply drops at least once every hour. So I'm curious how having a Prokera in would work with that scenario.
