A lot of people focus on the headline size, 2,063 hectares, but the sequencing here is just as important.

NovaRed didn’t just expand, they completed tenure registration, which effectively locks the entire Plume alteration zone under one controlled package going into the next phase.

They’re already pointing toward a 2026 geophysical program, which suggests they’re following a pretty standard exploration progression:

  • secure land (done)
  • run large-scale surveys (next, 2026)
  • define targets for drilling (after that)

For context, geophysical programs over areas this size, ~20 km², are typically used to map subsurface structures across the entire system, not just test a single spot.

Also worth noting, alteration zones at this scale often indicate multi-kilometer hydrothermal systems, not just narrow veins.

So while this update doesn’t include grades or drill results, it does reduce one major risk, land fragmentation, which can kill early-stage projects.

Feels like a quiet but necessary step before anything more “visible” happens.
