I recently started watching Tuu Juliet Jatt Di on Hotstar and I ABSOLUTELY love it so far.

I'm only on the early episodes right now but it is genuinely one of the best recent ITV dramas that I have watched. I used to watch ITV dramas a lot when I was younger, but haven't been able to find any good ones recently. I remember seeing the promo for this one near the end of last year, but didn't get round to actually watching it. I saw it on Hotstar a few days ago and decided to give it a go yesterday and genuinely I AM HOOKED!

I'm not really a very active Reddit user, but I just came across this page when searching for a platform to talk about the drama and now I think I'll be coming here everyday!!

I've just spent the past hour going down a rabbit hole on this page and looking at all the posts- it's genuinely been so much fun! I'm loving the title Nawaab has been given here: LUGAI BRAR. And all the edits are actually just amazing.

There are always some lines in shows and movies that really stick with you- some emotional, while others funny, some inspirational, while others reassuring, some sad, while others happy. I've watched lots of indian dramas over the years, but often forget to record those quotes, so they end up leaving my memory, so I was wondering which ones have stuck with you all over the years.

Now of course, there are the iconic dialogues like:

  • 'Because I love you, damn it' by ASR
  • 'I love you as a man loves a woman' by Dev Dixit
  • 'Iktu Biktu Jim Patuta!' from Son Pari
  • 'That's so middle-class Monisha' by Maya
  • 'What the-' by ASR
  • 'Hello Hi Bye Bye' by Mami Ji in IPKKND
  • 'Sahi pakde hain' by Angoori in BJGPH
  • 'Kuch toh gadbad hai' from CID
  • 'Rasode mein kaun tha' by Kokila Ben

...and very many more

But here I want to discuss the more deep lines that can standalone as quotes- some that would be lovely to keep a note of to look back on.

Here are some of mine from the time I rewatched the early episodes of KRPKAB:

  • ‘Thank you bolne ke liye himmat ki nahi, sanskaro ke zaroorat hoti hai’ - Mr Obodro, KRPKAB [Episode 10; right at the beginning, when talking to Sona]
  • ‘Ghar bhanne se pehle tut jaye to acha hai, par ek baar ghar bas gaya usme log rehne lage phir tute to bht dukh hota hai’ - , KRPKAB [Episode 27]
  • ‘Janta hu Miss Bose, ki todne mai sirf ek pal lagta hai lekin banane mai kahi saal lag jate hai’ - Mr Obodro, KRPKAB [Episode 54; right at the end, when stopping Sona from breaking the glass to open the door]

And this is a more recent one from the ongoing Colors TV show Tuu Juliet Jatt Di

  • ‘Parhai aur ladai- subko apne hisse ki khud karni padti hai’ - Arjun, Tuu Juliet Jatt Di [Episode 29, near the end of the episode, to Heer]

Share some of your own!! And if you haven't got any at the moment, then the next time you watch an episode of any drama, please look out for any lines that made you pause and think for a little and share them here!!

Thank you!
