This is at a campus that includes community resources in addition to a preschool and k-12th school with around 600 students.
We have about 150 Dahua cameras (with a couple Hanwhas in because we don't buy Dahua anymore) spread across 2 Dahua NVRs, but are preparing to expand with about 30 cameras and need to replace the NVRs with something much better.
The current proposal is switching to a Hanwha WAVE server and more Hanwha cameras.
However, we have been using Ubiquiti for our networks for many years and are curious about the possibility of moving our current Onvif cameras to an Enterprise NVR Core https://store.ui.com/us/en/category/cameras-nvr/products/envr-core with an AI key https://store.ui.com/us/en/category/cameras-nvr/products/ai-key and Protect Viewports when they are in stock again.
One of our advisors uses Unifi Protect with different clients, but they are typically built out full Unifi and he does not use Hanwha like our current vendor is recommending. I know our vendor does do some Unifi protect. One of their contractors was talking about how great they are, but our quote last year (budgeting delays have put this project off) was for Hanwha and I was looking for input before bringing up asking about if Unifi was a reasonable option for our situation.
