Curious about prior scholars rental price range?

What’s considered a good rent price to comfortably manage as a scholar?

People always just say “live in the dorms” but....

1.) That’s not really an option for me as i have lived in Korea with my own place for 3 years and collected furniture...
2.) Once you factor everything in, dorms don’t actually seem that much cheaper than some rental units anyway.

Plus, renting avoids the hassle of moving dorms or switching units during term breaks and things like that. (I was an exchange student as an undergrad in Korea so i am aware of this struggle.)

I was aiming for around 350+? I work full time in Korea now so i don't know how much the burden of rent will hit the stipend as i am earning a working income.

Switching From An E2 Visa to a D4/D2 (Timings).....

I have plans to start language school and then after my masters from this September. I called the immigration service and they told me it is possible to switch in Korea and it takes about a month to to complete the visa process.

I have a question about my visa status. My E-2 visa is valid until October this year. If I apply for the D-4/D-2 visa through the HiKorea appointment etc.... would I still be allowed to continue working on my current E-2 visa until the new D-4 visa is physically issued?

I would want to do this, as my current residence is provided by my workplace. Also as a student any extra money would help my journey.
