This is a painting that was given to my great grandfather over 70 years ago and we have always been curious about it. The painting was from his boss whose wife made him give it away. Their son was shot down over the Pacific in the Korean War and they couldn’t stand to look at the painting, thinking about him being lost at sea. It has always held a special place in our hearts from that story and I always think about them when I look at it. I was curious if anyone could help identify the artist.

Edit: Sorry I forgot to add the frame is NOT original. I’m not sure what the original frame was by my grandma got it reframed when they got it from my great grandparents
