Life has a funny way of showing you what you need when you need it, this subreddit was just suggested to me.

Today my 13y/o whippet Baxter crossed the rainbow bridge, he lost all muscle strength and wasn't able to walk anymore, and lost the spark in his eye so we decided it was time.

He went at home, in the sun (he loved sunbathing so much), with a belly full of cheese, surrounded by his family.

I really do hope he had the time of his life
