Hello!
I have been looking for a book for a few years now. I had it as a child in the early 2000s but I don’t know how old the book is. I really desperately want to find this book as it meant something special to me. I’m going to describe it as best I can and what I’ve found. It’s an anthology.
- The art work on the front was Huw Aaron and it had monkeys. (I’ll always remember those monkeys eyes)
- It was brown and thick and I’m pretty sure it had the brown on the front at the top and bottom of the book.
- It had a story in it of a mermaid and a little girl, the girl was crying on a rock because the sea came in and the mermaid helped by collecting her tears and made them into a neckless for her so she could get back to shore.
- It had farm story’s in from the animals perspective.
- I’m pretty sure it was penguin publishing as that was popular when I was a kid but I could be wrong.
(Also all the story’s had different art work)
Please please any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I’ve tried for so long to find it.
