Tubi is a treasure trove of trash and occasionally incredibly good horror. But, when I chose a movie called "Bitch Ass," I was ready for a "so bad, it's good" level good time. But about 15 minutes in, I had a thought, Is this actually a good movie?
After watching the whole movie, yes, shockingly a movie called "Bitch Ass" is one of the most engaging horror films I've seen in a while.
The film opens with an introduction from the legendary Tony Todd of Candyman fame, doing his best Crypt Keeper level introduction
From there I expected a gore ridden camp slasher film, but I actually started to empathize and relate to the characters. Then I started to empathize and relate to the killer. Every actor was nailing their role. And I didn't have the impulse to check my phone, even once!
So, I can't believe I'm about to write this sentence. If you want a surprisingly good slasher, I highly recommend Bitch Ass for your horror viewing.
