Has anyone had any luck with managing rust on cascara trees? My tree struggled with rust last year resulting in it losing nearly all its leaves, some branches and even broke off its leader. It managed to survive so it’s a pretty resilient tree, but it is starting to show signs of rust again. I tried removing leaves that were showing signs of rust, but new ones keep appearing and now it’s showing signs in the wood as well. Pictures 1 and 2 are from this year and the last picture is from last year.

Thanks to the previous home owners need for instant grass gratification, I will now be pulling this green plastic netting forever on my property. Every time I want to go plant or modify a part of the property, I run into this. I wish they would ban this stuff as there is no good reason to cover the entire ground with plastic netting ever. Don’t even get me started on landscaping fabric, which I have also spent way too many hours ripping out the multiple layers of.
