I am planning to make a custom order for my Celestian Insidiants Killteam, with a slightly darker and bluer royal purple for the outside of their vestments to blend in the night. The point of the order is that it operates in the shadows etc.
But I’m at an impasse as to what to paint them on the inside. Colour theory dictates that I’d need to do a greenish yellow to contrast well, but that’d make them look like nurgle sisters.
Part of this also has to do with symbolism. Purple symbolises royalty/high status. Black is death. off white (ie bone white) would symbolise purity and would work in a “pure within” sense, but might be too intense for an order that tries to stay in concealment.
I’ll take any ideas! Thank you and sorry for the block of text.
