So I have access to a safe full of vintage long guns, mostly Remington 700s and 870s. They're all older than 1975 for sure. The problem is that when I try to find values on the internet, they're all over the place. I've got completely conflicting information and auctions have about a $1000 variation in values for what looks like the same weapon. Where can I find accurate appraisals these days? What makes two seemingly identical Remington 700s vary so wildly in price?
