So, basically, the dude you're seeing holding the staff is the main character, who is Rudeus, and dear God, he is such an asshole. He's always creepy as fuck, and the show sexualizes minors non-stop. It's an actual shame because it's actually an interesting show, but it's not even trying to hide the fact that it is super creepy. It's also about growth, while Rudeus literally just does the exact opposite and keeps on continuing his weird ways.
