I just finished doing a valve seal job on my 95 Miata (1.8L DOHC I4) and suddenly my car lurches forward but only at low RPMs. It ran good for about a mile then suddenly at around 1500 RPMs they just began to go crazy; dropping below idle and then up to 3k. Unfortunately I didn’t think to take a video and am off for work. Originally it had a rough idle which turned out to be just some vacuum ports that needed to be capped off. There’s also a coolant leak from a loose thermostat but that doesn’t make sense. I think the CAS needs to be adjusted, or timing belt is off a notch; any other ideas?
