Growing up is realizing you’re Boromir

As a teenager, I wanted to be Legolas -- a stoic guy who can impress people by doing things no one else around him can.

In my 20s, I wanted to be Aragorn -- the perfect man who doesn’t fall for temptations and always makes the right choices.

In my 30s, I realized I’m Boromir -- a flawed and conflicted man who will sometimes fall short of who he wants to be. But I will still stand by what I believe is right and fight for the people I love. And if I make a mistake, do everything I can to make up for it, no matter the cost.

Maybe that’s as good as a man can get.
