Is this going to be an f’ing disaster?

I have had a newborn each of the past 2 years so the pool just wasn’t my priority. When last closed, all chemicals were balanced/closing was done fine, etc.

What should I expect? I scheduled someone to come open at the end of the month and I DID let them know the pool hasn’t been opened, but I’m just wondering what to expect with this, wondering if I should have drained the pool, wondering so much. Thanks for any insight you can provide

I know this is stupid, I know I am stupid.

I haven’t opened my pool in two years due to having newborns and as you can see I have let it really get away from me.

I believe that an animal went inside this tiny door in the side of the electrical box and died in there, but I can’t see well enough to fiddle around in there.

Obviously I want to get a dead animal out if it’s in there, but that aside- are there any safety issues in play here from an electric perspective? Again, I know, I’m dumb, I need to get this animal out and clean this shit up. But just from a pure safety standpoint I wanted to know if there was any risk of abandoning this equipment for two years and now going back to it, dead animal and all.

Thank you!!
